In 1867, 12 women laid the foundation for a sisterhood built on friendship, leadership and Lifelong Commitment. Over 150 years later, more than 2,000 dedicated volunteers serve and strengthen Pi Beta Phi every day.

Mentor Collegians

Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) members support chapter operations by mentoring young women, guiding the functions of a specific area and holding institutional knowledge that strengthens the chapter’s future.

PROVIDE A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Chapter House Corporation (CHC) members ensure the safety and well-being of Pi Phi collegians by maintaining housing facilities. They oversee the maintenance of a chapter house and handle financial and legal matters related to the property, including hiring of housing staff.

Pi Beta Phi Foundation Trustees and committee members guide the work of our Foundation, supporting our Fraternity and helping to ensure the future of our sisterhood.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For volunteer roles such as AAC, CHC, or Foundation committees, no particular Pi Phi experience is required. We look for women with time, energy and a passion for Pi Phi! We provide training throughout the volunteer experience to make sure you feel comfortable and successful in your role.

Pi Phi respects our members and the busy lives they lead. The time commitment of our volunteers depends on their role, their scope of work and what their individual schedules allow. Communication is key to managing time and work effectively.

Every Pi Phi role is supported by a Friend and Leader for Life. Aside from having a direct mentor, we share important information through the Wine and Silver Blue News, provide training through online webinars, and host in-person trainings annually at College Weekend and biennially at convention.

Many local volunteers live near the chapter they serve, but some volunteers serve remotely as well. Travel depends on the role you hold and what’s needed for that position.
