Meet the Meeting Ritual Research Committee
Pi Beta Phi’s Meeting Ritual Research Committee has been tasked with examining the Ritual recited at the start and end of every Pi Beta Phi meeting and New Member meeting. Committee members will work to hear perspectives on the impact of Ritual today from Pi Phis across our sisterhood, while honoring the history of our Ritual which was written by D.C. Alpha Anna S. Hazelton in 1890 and adopted by the Fraternity in 1893.
Grand Council appointed 12 Pi Phi alumnae with a wide range of education, professional skills, religious experiences, demographics, viewpoints and Pi Phi involvement to serve on the committee. With religion being a main factor in researching our Ritual, this committee represents religious studies of multiple religions with a representation of members who actively participate in religious practices and those who are non-religious. Each member shares Grand Council’s commitment to this important work and looks forward to engaging with members around the world to create a better understanding of the importance and meaning of meeting Ritual today.
